Today both Cheryl (in Australia) and Denise (from the hallway of her hotel in Toronto) opened a painting. We had the full complement with the exception of Ross, who unfortunately couldn't join us. Stephanie was making funny faces while Rose was introducing us at the beginning, because she thought the technology was failing... but she was mistaken! What is Palimpsest? ‘Something reused or altered but still bearing visible traces of its earlier form.’ A little background info: While the pandemic raged, 7 artists from 4 different countries formed a special virtual friendship and decided to embark on an epic art journey together. By sending physical panels around the world, we will create a series of original artworks. Each artist adds a layer in their own distinct medium and style, resulting in 98 layers divided between 14 paintings.
